What we're doing.

Half of all profits from the sales of #ONTHEPITCH products (coming soon) go to a women's football team of your choosing, and the other half goes to our nominated charity, West Cornwall Women's Aid.

Our aims are as follows: 

1. Create a revenue stream for grassroots women's football teams in Cornwall
2. Raise money for local community-based women's charities
3. Promote the involvement of women in grassroots sports

#ONTHEPITCH is in the process of registering as a Community Interest Company (CIC) approved by the community interest company regulator. A CIC is a special type of limited company which exists to benefit the community rather than private shareholders.

We have no payroll, no expenses, and no shareholders. All running costs and stock purchases are supported through sales and private donations. All the work is carried out by volunteers.  

We believe, like you, that a football pitch is as much a place for women as it is for men. Our products carry this message and we hope all that see them agree and are inspired to overcome prejudice and get involved in football.

Our messaging is inspired by Arlene Blum's famous expedition to climb Annapurna (I), her book Annapurna: A Woman's Place, and the T-shirt that partly funded the expedition. 

In 1978, Arlene lead a team of eleven women in an expedition to climb the tenth-highest mountain in the world, Annapurna I, which, until then, had only been climbed by eight people (all men). The group raised money for the climb in part by selling T-shirts with the slogan "A woman's place is on top". 

The funds donated to West Cornwall Women's Aid (WCWA) will be used towards their work in supporting women impacted by domestic abuse and sexual violence. In addition to the funding, we hope the connection between the football apparel and WCWA will help to destigmatise the issues and raise awareness locally of the support that WCWA provide.

Football teams

If you represent or are involved with a  women's football team in Cornwall, and would  like to get invloved, please contact us today! 

It's easy for clubs to sign up. You have to complete a short form detailing how you intend to use the money raised and what benefit it will have to the women's team specifically. There's a few other small things as well, but nothing too challenging.
